Which boombox to choose?

For what it is worth, my recommendation is to buy a boombox that is closest to the ones you grew up with. Find the brands and models you liked as a kid, then walk up the model numbers to see if there is a better model thst you were not able to get back then, and that meets your current features list. Buy that one.

For instance , if a B&O looks strange to you, it is probably not going to work out well as a "best" first choice, and you may soon wish you bought something more familiar.

I notice he put red markings near the power and sleep buttons. Ask him if they work as intended. Mine had a faulty power button, and so I had to turn it on via the sleep button.

Sleer's answer. Dots were glued by a child. They can be easily removed.
