indeed :)

not sure of its condition however. He grabbed it for a steal of a removalist who had it in his truck funnily enough.

Hey there!

This site is awesome! I wanted to ask you all what you thought would be a good replacement for my (r.i.p.) JVC RC-M50C. I had it for the past few years and loved it to death, until it was ripped off from me

I am not very familiar with the Boombox world so any suggestions would be a huge help!

welcome --
a strong upgrade to your m50 is the m70 -
there are often 2 or 3 listed on ebay every week -
so you could have one right away.

what country are you in ?

JVC M50's come up from time to time on ebay... but if you are looking for something different with better sound for a reasonable price there are several I would recommend...GE 6035, Panasonic 5150, Panasonic 5080, or GE 3-5259 (Blockbuster). All these models are easy to find on ebay and the price is very reasonable. Also they all sound better and have more bass than the M50.

Cool guys, thanks for the start! I'm in New York City. Yea, I found my M50 on ebay originally...I'm going to keep looking. And these sound like great alternatives that I'll have to read up on! Here's an image old chuck

My beloved 838! The previous owner must have been a bit crazy or not a carpenter.
Reminds me of those 70s cars with fake wood panels.
Has a cool tuning knob also! I think it´s a cork of a bottle.
Maybe he drank the bottle first and then dropped the radio. And the rest is history!

Panasonic FM 45. This radio has a GREAT tuner. A very quality box. I need to do belts on it, but it's super clean and sounds awesome. Of course it's not a big bass blaster, but sounds really good regardless.
