Knocking the cobwebs off the Rising SRC 2015. I get a new appreciation for this one every time I listen to it. It's sound is so smooth. This one has a blue/purple led kit install. I haven't seen another Rising with this particular led upgrade.

Hey Mel, did that Rising used to belong to Frank? I seem to recall his had the blue LED mod. I used the cool white LEDs in mine. I'd love to switch those out to a warm LED at some point.

I actually got this from Norm, who got it from Adam "Tha Fuzz". Adam may have gotten it from Frank. He told me it was one of the original led mods from the early days of Boomboxery.

That's a good idea. I have a lot of great boomboxes with history and ties to many members here.

I love the TRC 931 it was the best boombox you could get for what it cost new. No other box could match the TRC 931 for the money.

If the DT690 sounds anything like the DT680, you are in for years of enjoyment. They might not be the best looking boombox system, but Panasonic got the sound right on these.

I still have mine. you would have to pry this one from my cold dead hands.
