You're right Van, fine tuning not present on the silver version, no short wave band and blue trim as you mentionned yes. Also no rec mic unless I plug one in.
TPS up to 5 selections on the sylver version.
I got other BB and on most of them, I wanted to change speakers for better sound and mostly to had some bass in there, you know?. But on this RX-C100, no need. Just perfect as it is.

Jeff its a lasonic 935 case with JVC PC 210 center section grafted in, the lasonic was my very first eBay purchase back in 2005. I sold it then bought back the case along with several other large empty boombox casings from sinister Dave , I never part with anything I got from Dave because that guy hooked me up every fuming time he even picked up the vz2500 from Oakland CA, and sent it to for what it cost him. But anyway I just started cobbling **** together and it turned out just more awesomevthan I could have hoped fof, this box has real Sub bass partly because it has true sub woofers.

Enjoying the Rewards of reviving this unit. Went from me blasting away getting it to work to kicking back, relaxing and enjoy it blasting away.....and I like that much better.
