One is a fisher pH 490 for $200 and a Sanyo m9998 for $250. The Sanyo is near mint and the Fisher needs belts and a mic level knob. There's also a panny mini that is really nice for $15.00.
This always happens when i can't do shlt.

Just picked up this Promax J1 Super Jumbo from LA...a short 6 hour drive. It was well worth it. Part of the trip included a mini meet with a few SoCal members.
This unit was decent physically but has a few missing cassette deck keys. Thanks to Dr DER for hooking me up with some cassette keys and picking this unit up for me. After getting a few repairs: both cassette decks rebelted and serviced, eq fixed, and balance fixed, it is now 100% operational. I polished the chrome, blackened the speakers, and painted the grills with black satin paint. I also applied several coats of carnuba wax to the top, sides, and front. She now looks like a proper shelf queen.
Thank you. I was pleasantly surprised by the sound on the J1. It’s a proper 3 way system with real tweeters...no piezo. Speakers are rated for 30 watts. 10 band eq really allows you to fine tune the sound. A beautiful radio to look at also. Definitely a keeper.Transistorized said:Would love to have one of these boxes one day Nice melly20171114_205955.jpg
