Listening to my Japanese GF535 (GF9000) and M90 playing '70s Rock' on Pandora. :-D :-D
I had to turn off and put 535 on top of M70 for taking pics.

My 13 month old puppy Duke is also a music lover!

Cranking up a muthafukin' Vinix right now. Looks pretty cool, sounds decent for its small size, but no build quality worth a damn. On the back it says "Designed in Japan" but built in Taiwan, lol. The speakers aren't even screwed into the case the normal way, there is one clamp and the rest is glue. And the digital clock only appears some of the time. Oh well, it's not much worse than a Toshiba, lol.

This is becoming a habit, but yet again it's my super heavyweight JVC with the twin motor, logic deck that's been keeping me entertained all evening. The PC-5 hits the back of the net again.

And today, I have mostly been listening to my collection of dubstep and roots tunes by the truly amazing Mungo's Hi-Fi. Their stuff makes sense of the hefty wee JVC's loudness button. Oh boy does it ever!

The wee RC-656 may well have slightly bland looks but these always, always work properly with next to no attention beyond cleaning the FM multiplex VR and a belt for the deck. This one, more than my other example, sounds amazing and this crappy video doesn't convey just how well these things can actually do solid bass and crisp, clean highs, Beatles coming up:

And the (S)Hitachi 3D40, what to do with that eh? I could have taken it down to the beach at dead of night and shot at it. Maybe I should have thrown it onto the stove and had the benefit of its cabinet's calorific value to heat my home but instead, I gave it some coaxial outer speakers whose tweeters afford the thing some decent treble and some ex-Sansui CP-5 speakers in the subs' positions which don't half tighten up its utterly crappy bass performance and turn it into something that sounds really quite good.
Demo below:

There must be something wrong with my RC-656 as all I get is very nice and clear mids and highs but zero bass! My TRK-8080 kills it for bass just to give you an extreme example. The JVC is really clean and fully serviced and 100% working with fully cleaned pots etc but low levels of bass force me to leave it on the shelf.

James..... :-)
