National Stereo Mac ST-5 RS-4250.
Thic Mac is a great example of the Matsushita machines in the end of 70s - congrats! :-)
Still not that rare in Japan itself but it won't last forever.
Personally I am not a keen fan of 70s boomers' design - a bit old for me but MAC ST-5 and JVC RC-838 are 2 ones
from 70s I am going to acquire sooner or later.
And I am not very happy about "Japanese" FM range of 70s and - up to 90MHz only.
One Mac BIN on Ebay in Tokyo:

Domestic Japanese National RX-C46, widely known as Panny RX-C46.

National is rather not rare in Japan still but what distinguishes this model from Panny is the inbuilt
FM transmitter (ON AIR setting).
Also, it has only one-way acoustics, no tweeters but sounds great for its size.

That's mine I used to have - you can see the small screwdriver in the battery compartment
for adjusting the transmitting frequence if needed.

Sharp GF-858 - another local Japanese version, rather rare even there those days,
top model in the line of GF-575, GF-757,
as it happened many times they decided to produce the most "tasty" model,
GF-858, only for themselves, domestic market.
5-Band EQ is onboard.

Last year I scored this one in Japan, in a good condition.

Who told you the C46 doesn't have tweeters?

Check out the photo below of my C46:

Is it a Panny RX-C46?

I meant only local Japanese National RX-C46.
It's a National C46.

Below is a pic of my National RX-C46 sitting upon my National RX-C45:

I wasn't aware that the Japanese version didn't have tweeters - weird? All versions of the C46 have the same front speaker panel with a grill for a tweeter. If the tweeter was missing, you would think there would be a hole and not a silver panel behind the tweeter grill.?!

The earlier C45 has a different 'domed' style of piezo tweeter than the flat disc style piezo tweeter of the non-Japanese domestic C46.

I didn't "dissect" cabinets in my Japanese C-46 but I have read a few times about only wide range speakers without tweeters in it.
Sources were reliable and I tend to believe them.
Only silver cover plates instead.
At the same time, the domestic Japanese C-45 does have tweeters, those "dome" type ones.

BTW, my Sharp QT-88MarkII from Islands has no tweeters as well but they didn't bother even imitating them with silver panels leaving exactly holes instead.

 Why would anyone copyright a forum post? Seems a bit of an expensive way to reduce the risk of plagiarism.

(But not to eliminate that risk when the forum in question has members from all over the world).

Yes, exactly, Reli, acoustic scheme attracted my attention as well.
But to buy this Celebrity just out of interest would be way expensive.
It's not rare in Japan these days - currently Yahoo JP lists 6 lots with Celebrities,
usually they are not that cheap in a good condition, plus this machine is heavy -10 kilos -
shipping won't be cheap either.

That's not my auction. I found it just today. :-)
Oh No.. I didn't mean it - that it is your post!
Somehow, the seller has made a search on bbery or s2g and utilized it!
When I google for National MAC ST-5, first result is my post :hooray: :w00t:
