The radio/camera combination isn't a new idea and there were several on sale in the UK during the late 50s and the 60s.
Here's the GEC one, GEC (General Electric) were a British company that built various radios combined with other gear, such as the boomboxes which were Crown akas. I had one with the Crown brand name on but it was a short lived device as chronic unreliability saw it go back under guarantee and the Sharp GF555 that I still have replaced it.
The GEC camera/radio has a cult following and quite a few UKVR members own at least the one of these:
Note the aerial socket on the front, this was common on UK built portables til quite recently and was fitted so that the radios could be used in but not fitted up to cars. Permanent car radios needed a separate licence, but if the set were a portable like the camera above, then it was covered on the home radio licence and no separate one was required.
