...dusted off the Sanyo M9994k...listening to Lakeside's greatest hits...still amazes me how good this little box sounds. It's gotta be one of the sweetest sounding radios at low volume.

Taking the JVC 838 for a spin and had a quick photo shoot with it. Listening to strange sounds courtesy of the local college radio station also have some Eric B and Rakim - Don't sweat the technique and some Kraftwerk - Autobahn on cassettes.

Cleaned and serviced the tape deck on the Sharp 8989 (been meaning to for toooooo long!).

Now running an early 90s TDK MA90 through it and marvelling at the sound sparkle. :surf: :sin:

As I write the tune playing is 'In And Out' by Willie Hutch. (Taped from my 12" single)

Was just cranking "LET THE RHYTHM HIT EM" Eric B rakim Definately one of my faves :thumbsup:

because i use my boxes --mostly outside --on radio --

nowadays --all the DJs assume we all know all the titles and artists ??
so they usually dont bother to 'name that tune' :hmmm: :annoyed: :-D :-D

some of the voices are easy to recognize --
lots are not :-O :-)

My Sony ES receiver died a year ago, so when I'm home, I have no choice but to listen to my music on boomboxes.

I can't really say that I miss my receiver. :cool:

I've been listening to the radio for most of weekend, and last night, had the fortune to tune into a local college station playing some classic Latin Mambo and Salsa, mostly 'cause the dial on my 838 goes only to 90MHz... Now, that is some GREAT boombox music! :cool:

It must've kinda been in the stars when I posted Cuban rapper Mellow Man Ace. :cool:

The M70 gets work today. It's 95 degrees in Northern Cali and the parks are filled with people taking walks...the red M70 is getting alot of attention from the ladies today...jamming SOS Band's greatest hits. The perfect summertime music!!... :-D
