Currently enjoying Public Enemy - Shut 'Em Up, on the Pioneer SK-353L.

Feels like absolutely the right type of music for this box!

Great little boxes these. I have two and both needed the pcb solder joints remaking on the function selector switch. Apart from that, work a treat and good quality sound if not the loudest but nice clear rich sound and excellent tuner.

Cheers. That's well worth knowing in case it throws up problems later!

I dropped very lucky with my Pioneer; it's in mint condition and - so far - working perfectly. Does have a very nice sound. I love the neat, clean design, and the build quality and surface finishes are excellent.

Working from home is allowing me to rotate through my small but growing collection of boomboxes.

Today's listening is courtesy of my Samsung WH-290, which is an early '90s box from the budget end of the scale. I've owned this one from new. It's not got much in the way of bass or outright volume, but the sound is decently sharp and clear.

That looks beast! Those woofers really fill out the frame, unlike the other FH's.
Them horn tweeters are deep as hell, too. Unusual for a mini system.

Producing some killer sound with my beautiful M70 and a Klipsch SW-450 powered subwoofer hooked to the RCA line out.
