Heard one of these machines recently - wow, such a loud box! Can’t beat black on chrome - classic Lasonic. :-)

So true man. I always wondered why they had an image of a dude carrying the box on his shoulder pointing to an exclamation mark symbol. Once I got to 30 on the volume and then found it went to 40 from there without breaking a sweat...at that point, I fully understood that symbol. If you cranked this thing on your shoulder aiming at your face you would experience hearing loss no doubt.

Hi, Reelcassette. Your Panasonic RX-CT900 looks interesting and neat, practically pristine. Pardon my asking, but: is its tuner analog or digital? And does it tune shortwave? (I have some interest in atypical bands like shortwave.)

Anyway, it’s always commendable to have the skill and the patience to restore such electronics, sourcing parts for them, cleaning filthier parts, testing them and then sharing the pretty pictures (and any videos) of the fixed-up “finds” with other fans. I’m not really “technically inclined” myself, but thanks for sharing.

This machine sports a digital tuner with FM/LW/MW.
