It's a great little "carry" box. Good battery life, so far (had these Duracells in it for the last 3 weeks with regular use) and surprisingly good sound at medium volume.BoomboxLover48 said:Arom, I have that 5280! I love it!
Glad I read the caption - I was thinking you might be changing the oil on the Super Woofer. I think you're supposed to do that for every 20 hrs. of run time.jimmyjimmy19702010 said:Up early Sunday morning giving the wife's car an oil change with the 3D7 cranking some sweet bassy tunes.

Cool history on your box, I love the stories that come with each radio. Welcome to Boomboxeryc4box said:image.jpeg
Hi I'm new here. I am playing my RX-5150 on the deck, 90^F in Delaware.
This is my first REAL box, which was sold to me in Virginia, for $15. It was caked with grime and dust. It came with a workout aerobics audio tape.
The couple, in their 70s, was moving to California and cleaning out. The Orginal owner told me he picked it up in 1983 from a local store in Fairfax. He told me he worked as an engineer everyday of his life and didn't get to enjoy the boombox.
He advised, don't work too hard. Cool guy.
