Hi Rick-That's simply fantastic!!!
I love it! :-)

Man this makes me want to restore my M-90!
BUT It just needs the top and maybe the sides painted but will go with the original grey.
Yes I've seen this and heard this and have handled the all mighty Jamiacan Ira boomer at the meet and it sounded fantastic!!!

It's so nice to see you restore this to a very rad 80's color design!!!!

BTW-I was early for a concert in Atlanta,Ga. and yes Ziggy Marley was laughing at me!! I was partying early while he was warming up! I was right there!!(Row 3!) No one between him and me-I was well :weed: :-O :w00t:

Just love this project!!
Way to go!
Have a great time with it Rick-GB. :-) :surf: :surf:   :-P

After more than a months work she's finally done!!
I'm very, very happy with the results, if you look at the target render I first posted this is not far from it at all! It's all well and good tooling around in photoshop and letting your creativity run wild, but when you put those ideas into practice it can be a very tedious process. But, I did overcome all the challenges!
As I alluded to in my last post, the sticker application was a new exercise in brutality. Trying to get them even and the angles matching up on both sides too hours upon hours. The real problem though was sticking them to the woofer grills. The tweeter grils were fine to stick on as the holes are much smaller, but the woofer grills with the the stickers stuck directly on looked really poor. The finish became way too uneven and I had no confidence in them staying on for any period of time. The solution was to stick each sticker to a very thin piece of clear plastic, this was then super glued into place. The stickers now look really nice and even, as demonstrated in the close ups. But cutting the plastic once the stickers were on so that it matched the die cut of the stickers took a lot of work.

And like most things about this project it was a lot of work! Much like everything else about this hobby, and life in general, patience paid off. There are a couple of issues with the main conrtols sticker not matching up 100% and because I'm a pedantic twat I'll be adjusting the design and getting some more printed out when I can. But this one is 98% rockin, which is good enough for me for now.

I'd like to thank everyone on here for their ideas and encouragement. Checking back in and seeing such positive replies whenever I posted any news was greatly appreciated. Theres a little bit of everyone on here in this blaster!

Here are the first batch of pictures. I'll be taking a lot more and doing videos this week, but hopefully these will give you all good impression of her.
