Here are updated instructions I got for pairing 2 Mini's together:

"For pairing the M90 MINI boomboxes together, make sure the bluetooth is shut off from the main device to connect. Turn on both M90 MINI boomboxes at the same time, wait for the boot-up sound to finish. Press the power button quickly, on both of the M90 MINI boomboxes to have each make the "boop" sound. NOW turn on the bluetooth from the phone, and you should hear both devices pair together with the unique "sparkle sound". These two M90 MINIs will now automatically pair up, any time they are being used together. "

I found this was almost correct. I did get to hear the sparkle sound, but neither radio would play bluetooth from my phone and the phone wouldn't connect with either option on my bluetooth list.... I looked at the bottom of my bluetooth devices list on my phone and a 3rd Mini M90 option was at the bottom. I clicked that option and it finally worked! So if you have 2 mini's you are pairing together and 2 mini options on your bluetooth list, look for the 3rd one and that will be the 'paired' option.

Crazy..... I'm so glad I backed the project for two sets.. For the price of one retail Mini, I got two sets, with two cases and two micros.

Definitely getting in on the kickstarter for the next boombox project if the do it.
Agree. Barring another global shutdown of chip manufacturers, hopefully they'll learn and correct some of the electronic issues in future models

Has anyone had luck pairing two Mini M90s together? My phone shows both units are connected to bluetooth but I only get sound from one unit at a time.

I'll try to. I contacted New Wave about my tuner that snags and clicks, they want to warranty it. So I'll test it before I ship it out.

EDIT: Nevermind, you figured it out! I'm still gonna try it just for fun.

I'm curious if the AM tuner functionality is buried in the firmware of the mini. I know NWT wasn't happy with the performance of AM...but I wonder if the chip that's inside, still has the capability? I'm sure it's simply a firmware update to unlock it.

Even if it's less than satisfactory, still would be cool to at least have the ability to select it :-)

I'd definitely be interested in that!

Nice toy/ bluetooth box.

I think they missed a step by not making the cassette take those mini cassettes that reporters used to use.

Has anyone compared the Mini to other bluetooth speakers of that price range? For example JBL Charge 4 (or 5) or UE Megaboom? It would be interesting how they compete in overall sound, loudness and low frequencies.

Are the new stock of radios shipping out with "KICKSTARTER" on the packaging or did they chance the print on the cardboard for the non kickstart inventory?

A lot of the folks that are getting their mini after the Kickstarter have BP for the model numbers versus KS

I’m diggin that colorway… just not that price. I’d definitely cop if it was cheap Kickstarter prices.

I wonder if they still plan to drop other models of mini boomers. I’d be waaaaay more interested in that. But I don’t blame em for milking variants of the M90… it’s a smart business move for them as long as people keep buying them.
