You are right about the color...very bland...that's why I chose to add a little bling factor to the color I chose. It has mad sparkle in the sun but very subdued indoors. The best of both worlds.... :-D

Yeah, you've certainly added some pop to that box!

For the original color, I wish JVC went with silver tho.

Oldschool I have the version with the 2 ways... :-D

Frank I agree, but I wanted to add a touch of bling so I went with the gloss black...I plan on using the M90 mostly outdoors and the girls love that sparkle... :-D ...

Unbelievable job Melly! :w00t: I mean, that M90 was far from the worst we had ever seen. But you shine up good and kick it through your neighborhood hardcore like MC Breed!

Hey melly, would you say the paint is an accurate likeness or is it a close match but not quite ?
it does look really nice and clean but I assume you left the front unit where all the writing is and on the rear covered the labels up while spraying/painting.
Did you spray it or paint and which code of paint did you use ?

The paint color is not exact, due to the natural fading of the original paint. However when indoors with normal lighting I cannot see a difference in the color from a few feet away. In the bright sun outdoors the new paint has more sparkle because of the higher metallic content....also in the bright sun the new color is half a shade darker, but because I painted the whole box except for the written area, the color difference is barely noticeable...and yes I covered the written areas to protect from paint so that is the only area with the original color. I used a Duplicolor spray paint code # T183... if you plan on painting your M90 the masking and prep sanding are the most important areas ( use 400 grit for rough spots and 600 grit to prep for paint).... :-D

Better than original with the metallic IMO! Can you explain your materials and painting techniques.I'd like to get into that but I need a little guidance. My only experience painting was plastic models as a kid and I was horrible!

Kinda late of me chiming in but you have done a terrific job on that M90 Mel.

Monchito please do something with your beater M90!

Mono mentioned the color silver, I can only imagine how an M90 would look in that color. :hmmm:
