Don't fill in the vents.
You are a hell of a painter and artist, but I think this box needs to look as stock as possible.
I might change my mind but that's my two cents for now.

The vents are actually a plus for bass response & act as a sort of bass port, similar to a vented speaker enclosure. Also, if you seal them up the pressure from the woofers have nowhere to go & will cause all kinds of things to vibrate inside. I did this experiment with both a 777 & M90 & it actually killed the bass & caused all kinds of rattles that were impossible to control effectively...

DON'T BLOCK THE VENTS or your hard work will be wasted....(caps are for emphaisis, not yelling, sorry)

Any thoughts on how you are going to AMP those cans? I'm guessing a single 931/975 amp won't cut it for power....T-amp or dual stock amp setup??

Also, you may want to look into dual power blocks for added amps...Norm may know what to try...

Nice work! I agree that it would be a waste of time filling in the holes in the back. A box that size made of thin plastic will never be a HiFi setup so leave it as is IMHO.

A nice T amp pushing 20+ watts RMS would really make those Lasonic speakers dance! A T amp is also quite small and lightweight. Power it with a 12V Lithium battery pack and you'll be all set!

James... :-)

How did I miss this? Good heavens JC! Amazing!
Are you going to do VU meters? :-) Would be cool if they spanned the entire length of the box haha

I agree with above, leave the vents in the back. It looks so beautifully stock and you did so much work.

PLUS you don;t want to add more weight

I love this thread!

That is a wild custom bro. I am in shock and Awe!!!
I am with the rest of the crew on not blocking the vents.
What makes you want to block them off anyway?
