The sad reality is that my Boomboxes are a hobby, so they take a backseat to the other projects that pay the bills..and keep me busy! I've been organizing my boxes in "order of importance" so I can systematically get them all Kustomized!
I'm not sacrificing quality for quantity!

I like the silver base a lot as well.
The gold base seems to look a lot like a deeper emerald (at least from the pic).

A mid powered efficient D class amp (like in the Exos-9) would really drive those speakers hard and wouldn't add much weight to the total. They're very inexpensive too!

Here's the color I've had in mind, with those new white speakers it'd be TOO FRESH!!
It's a paint made in the UK, I've been trying to find an easy US distributor..
If not, I'll have to mix up my own concoction of different pearl Basecoats.. I call it Aqua Ice Mint!

I have a Lepai, but think I'd need one with bigger RMS to push these speakers..
What rechargeable cell do you use in your DIY boxes..?
