M70? Hmm, there's an easier way to build a JVC with added speaker estate:
One of the extra speakers contains the A/F amp from the smashed up PC11 that donated the pair, the other extra speaker contains 4 double D cell holders for the supply to that second amp, mains to both comes via an extra lead from the first socket to the second mains PSU. I can't lift it clear of the floor but it only needs a minute to take off the extra bits and it all still works in its original form too. I might have blended the extra speaker cabs to the stock pair, but plastic welding doesn't work so well on wood & steel and besides, this is far too easy compared to the way that the leviathan that is thread's topic is being built up.

Well, let's see if either project gets finished. I really hope so since they both have very promising starts...I haven't seen the C-100 with 4 woofers yet. Is there a thread for it?
