Finished welding in the vents, now I just need to fit it together nicely then I can get started on the fiberglass finish work..

What are you using to weld the parts together?

Now that I'm looking, the piece in that photo I had to snap off and re-weld because it wasnt straight enough..
I can see its crooked in the photo, I had to use a 24" square to align everything properly..

To anyone thinking of doing something like this, I would advise against it.. It's a LOT of planning.. Both in the mind and on the workbench.. I'm just glad the idea I had in my head is coming to life! The other reason I'm doing this is after countless hours of searching eBay for a cool blaster and coming up empty-handed, I decided to build my own!

Sometimes, if you want to do something right, you've got to do it yourself.

It's happened twice now that I've had somebody stop by the shop and as soon as they see this custom Lasonic, the first words out of their mouth is... "Is that thing real?"

Good news is that it's warming up outside, so I can resume construction on this project! Hopefully in the next few days I will make some progress..
