 It is pretty "bare bones" right now, far away from completion.. I work on it out in the shop on decently warmer days..
Trust me, it'll be a show piece once completed! :-D
No rattle-can paint on this one, just House of Kolor and Dupont Automotive paints.. ;-)

Test fitting all the tweeter covers..

WOW BRO!! Incredible work. I can't wait to see it finished and complete. I had a similar idea, but I was thinking of stretching it vertically with the two speakers on top of the other two. I have one trc 931 striped case, just waiting to get another one. I'll be hitting you up with a lot of questions when I get started. GREAT JOB BRO!!

Note: Please do not work on this project after consuming alcoholic beverages during this Holiday Season!
Things can get out of control and this Boombox might get even much bigger...a BoomboxZilla!

Any updates on this project?
I am almost done with the back casing, just doing some critical measuring and fitting of the center section, my goal is to have the vents be 1 long, continuous piece.. Just making sure it's really straight before welding!

It's been -20 degrees here lately, so working on projects in the shop have kind of slowed down..
There were a few days with "above zero" weather, but I decided to pull my 47' Chevy in the shop and do some work on it!

Those new speakers are going to look so fresh in this box.

Since the new Lasonic speakers are virtually identical to the originals it makes sense to buy new speakers for the classic blasters. I might replace the ones in my 975 and 935. I can even get all black speakers for the 951!

I love this project
