that is better option than me going to costco,. Althoughi left batteries in my kaboom and the leakage screwed up the on and off function and the use of my remote controll

Thanks for the tip on the batteries. I found my adapter and used that to power my initial test, but I also purchased about $20 in D cell batteries. I was kind of thinking I need to find a better solution to portable power. Looks like rechargeable is my best option.
No problem. I looked around for a bit and like anything saw mixed reviews but from my experience they have been great using them not stop for about 1.5 years or so.
How about you? I see in one of the little vz of the boombox that the counter is at zero. I wish I’d of noticed that before because it always means broken cassette deck. Don’t know why everyone pushes that botton

Mine is working OK. I cleaned the tape deck and it seems to be working fine. Before it was cleaned, it ate the demo tape the seller sent. But since the cleaning, no problems. Counter works. Still have some issues with the left speaker and volume sliders. You mentioned I might need to clean the function switch or record bar. I ordered some deoxit so I’ll try working on it when that arrives.
Did you get a DHL tracking number? The tracking number from the seller was from Indonesia Post, but at some point it was handed off to DHL and they texted me with their tracking information. Once it was with DHL it took less than a week to get to me. But my boombox sat with Indonesia Post for a while with no updates.

Oh, no I didn’t try the batteries yet. I bought them, but found my adapter before I used them. I’ll try the M70 on battery and see what happens.

Um...just checked and it’s set to 110. That might be a problem? I’m in the US. Maybe I shouldn’t be using an outlet with this thing.
Thanks for the advice. The forums on this site contain an amazing amount of knowledge. I’ve been searching and will continue to learn. I’m totally new to electronics and boomboxes so we’ll see how it turns out. If nothing else, maybe I’ll find an expert on here and send the boombox for repairs.

I just want to say that It’s been over a month and my radios never came. Seller wants me to wait a couple more weeks but I’m not sure if that will be too long to file a complaint the package doesn’t show. I think he’s trying to string me along until it’s too late to do anything about it. I’m glad you got your radio (even if it wasn’t as described) and the left speaker has a problem. Order at your own risk. I have many boomboxes and have been collecting for years but I’m done with overseas purchases.

My rc-m75 came in yesterday. Dhl delivered it. My unit was hung up in hong kong, Every thing works. Glad i had 10 d battery. What i got was what on the picture,
Demo tape worked perfectly. The sliders are a little stiff there is no static when i use them. One antenna is longer than the other no biggie to me. I will do business with him again.
