i just got mine in the mail. it's badass. really well done. i remember one time when i was a kid in the seventies, i went to see the ramones and some how we bullshit our way into finding out where they were staying. we went over the la quinta inn on I35 there in austin and met them and hung out. the fact that we had an entire keg of beer in our van helped our introduction. it was well past time in the bars. and we had a whole keg.
anyway joey, the singer had the ubiquitous big boomer in his room and a box of tapes. mix tapes that he had lovingly made by hand. pretty much all the punk rock guys back then had that same outfit. jam box and a cardboard box with a bunch of tapes in it. anyways, the book reminded me of that time. i still have this same set up. haha. jam box with cardboard box of various tapes.

Awesome book, I skimmed through it for a while, its easy to get lost in some of the great stories. I loved the one about how it can take hours to negotiate money from friends for batteries.

Finally i got my book today :thumbsup: :breakdance: :surf: . Really excited. Just checked all pages fast and have no time to type a lot here..... because i need to read...... :thumbsup: . And im shaking from impatience :thumbsup: . I was waiting for her a lot. Just didnt ordered it to my address here in Bulgaria (the shipping costs will triple the price :sadno: ). So a girl from Cali bought it for me and she just arrived :-D . The girl and the book :thumbsup: . But i know the girl for a long time.... So im going to know better The Boombox project better instead :lol: .
