Thanks guys I was very nervous I would screw this up but it turned out good.
Jaetee this is called a squish mold just pour the resin in press the two halves of the mold together
and wait.
Sounds like you have done some research , are you thinking of trying it???

No, I don't really have a need for any parts like that right now that I can think of... but I do remember seeing that thread on S2G last year by the guy that made those M90 buttons in similar fashion.

Very cool work. Hats off to you!

IF it would have been me, I'd have used the broken part to form the mold and made it symettrical that way instead...  (j/k, Ira)

Fantastic work, Frank! I've been wanting to try something like that for a while. I might give you a call this weekend to get some pointers. ;-)

great work frank  that is awesome work :w00t: indeed and building molds is definitely the hardest part. i used to make a few molds for silicone items. not sure if this applies to the resin you were using, but with silicone i bought a small vacuum pump, built a small chamber from thick pvc and would put the silicone in and de-gas for about 20 seconds before poring into mold. the benefit of de-gassing was it eliminated ALL bubbles when poured into the mold. Especially with more complex shapes eliminating the tiny bubbles is really hard. yours look super clean for a shape like that :surf:
