I'm pissed about the FM because I bought the Bumpboxx over the Aiwa EXOS9 because the Aiwa doesn't have a FM tuner.jimmyjimmy19702010 said:So you have excessive clipping on Bluetooth mode and a non-functional FM tuner?!
There seems to be many, many happy Boombox buyers out there - maybe your unit is faulty Joe??
I emailed Bumpboxx to get these issues figured out and they only told me to move the antenna wire and scan the radio stations outside..... and if that doesn't work then I should use a FM app on my phone.

This might sound crazy but I do not have internet access when on the road and camping to use a FM tuner app and I don't keep apps on my phone. If I did install the app, I will be tethered to my bumpboxx because I won't be able to leave with my phone and also leave the radio where it is with my family and friends to continue playing.
I showed them the videos and pictures and they said looping the antenna above the handle brings the best reception.
I don't want to bash this company because they have been REALLY helpful and super fast to reply and help. They seem to be an A+ company but some quality control needs to be done.
I will layout all the things I have issues with right out of the box:
- FM tuner doesn't work
- Right tweeter clips at 60-75% volume on BT
- Glue residue on the front of the box and behind the plexiglass and on the VU meters
- 2 plexiglass screw holes cracked
- Front plastic box corner cracked
- A lot of staples didn't hit their supports inside the box to keep this thing together and not vibrate apart
They did send me a new VU meter and plexiglass panel immediately, like 2 days it was here. AND when I just noticed the plexi/glue issue they did offer to exchange the radio and maybe at this point I should have but if they all have this FM issue, a replacement won't do me any good.
I love love love this radio even with the issues I mentioned, it is a rad throwback and really does produce the power and looks that they advertise.
