Here at BumpBoxx we will work with anyone who may have an issue and go 200% and beyond for them. But we will not stay silent if one takes to bashing us in public forums and Facebook. (Will be banned) Especially when we stand behind our product. With that said. We love our fans!
The Clairtone 7980 was king...until i purchased Rob's Bumpboxx's  ...Now it's all i use...it's a BEAST of a box...i'm a huge fan! If Rob says "Here at BumpBoxx we will work with anyone who may have an issue and go 200% and beyond for them"...you can believe it!

Rob is an absolute stand up guy. You won't find a more honest business man. I love my Bumpboxxes and it has performed perfectly for what I use it for. Their customer service is absolutely top notch. No product I've ever heard of has a 100% trouble free production run. What's most important to me is how the customer is treated after the purchase. Rob takes care of his customers. I love the Bumpboxx and plan on buying more for my collection. Keep up the great work Rob.

I'm sure those f*ckers are loud and hit hard as hell. But personally I'm just not feelin the looks or build quality from what I've seen. I'd take any one of brother Jimmy's DIY builds over the Bumpboxx any day. Gotta give mad props to Jimmy for his fantastic work. He set the standard. Hopefully I'll get off my ass and find some time to build my own. I think about it all the time. The DIY boxes are just inspiring. AND they were built by a fellow member of the best damn website in the world.
Have you seen the build quality in person? The build quality on mine is just fine.

The two boxes aren't really comparable. One is a mass produced performer box with trick proprietary drivers, LED display etc and the other is a hand crafted one off.

Bumpboxx is a business - they built a box that has a broad appeal with fancy colours etc, swag and extensive slick promotional support. I've been impressed with the amount of exposure and hype they have been able to generate in a relatively short period of time from a previously unheard of maker. Hats off to these guys for sure.

DIY boxes don't have the fiscal limitations of a money making enterprise. Putting in a set of $500 comp spec speakers or a $200 D class amp in a DIY box is fine but not a realistic thing to consider for a retail box.

Will I buy a Bumpboxx? No, I enjoy the challenge of designing and building a stronger performer here but to those who have no interest in going to the hassle of building their own box but want huge performance, the Bumpboxx really is the way to go. :-)

The customer support offered by Bumpboxx really is top notch so there is no faulting Rob and his team in that respect.

Looking forward to checking out their next 4 offerings. :-)

No Melly I haven't. I've seen pictures. I'm not bashing the box in in any way. The current product is just not my cup of tea. I'm stoked that there's a company that's dedicated to bringing back the boombox and making it better. I'm sure the upcoming models will be more to my liking.

I saw that wrap too. The design is endless with any wrap available. That I do like!

The replacement is here.

These guys upgraded me to the SE box with longer battery life, metal corners, and texture coating.

I know they still have FM issues to work out, but thank you to the Bumpboxx team for hooking me up.

I also got to fit my door for the front. Fits like a glove. Off to finish weld and powdercoat!!!! USB led kit is just hanging in there but gives you an idea on the final look.

That's high praise coming from the "King of the Conion." Truthfully, impressive to hear that.

Hahaha, please Joe, tell me those aren't really your cabinets?!? I've never seen green cabinets before.

Edit: I see your TDK on the desk.... those are your cabinets. Too funny.

Well, can you blame him? Conion's customer support is awful!

Any of you guys getting less-than-par battery life? I have my bumpboxx hooked up to my computer, maybe 1/8 volume. I turn it on at 8am and it is not broadcasting any sound by about noon. 4 hours and then the sound doesn't come out of the speakers anymore but will power on and off.....

It's difficult to know what's going on without knowing the resting battery voltage. As the Bumpboxx uses an SLA battery, you want to see around 13.9 volts fresh off the charger and around 12.90 - 13.10 volts after a few hours off the charger.

It sounds like your Bumpboxx battery voltage may have dipped below the threshold required to fire up the amp.

Excluding some other type of internal technical fault (including a faulty charger), I'd guess the battery is buggered.

I'd pull that battery cover and check the battery voltage before you recharge it to check its' health.

I use both of mine much longer than that with no issues on very loud volume. It's either a battery or the charger. Bumpboxx released an updated charger. If you don't have one Rob will send you one...or it could be the battery.

I usually plug it in after every time I use it just to top it off. I think I saw Reli/Mel was saying somewhere it was best to keep the batteries fed.

I will have to see if that was a fluke or what. This weekend I will be stretching its legs.
