Why is everyone only shipping to the lower 48 these days?

I've never had a problem shipping overseas. Why do I take the trouble? ---- Because the more bidders you have, the higher the final price will go.

Now, if it's a big 3-piece box, like a Telefunken Studio 1, maybe I'll stay within the US, because some countries don't allow oversize packages, and I'm too lazy to find out which countries they are.

But on second thought, if it was a 3-piece box, I would probably break it into 2 shipments anyway. It's much safer that way. Otherwise the speaker attachment points will break.

:-D I ship World Wide just as long as the seller is willing to pay the shipping cost, Also understand that USPS has a size limitation, So if I would to ship a Helix Wheely-5000 USPS will not accept it and I would then have to go with Fedex and it would cost a lot more and buyers are not willing to pay the Fededx charges, This is why for big boomboxes like that I just ship within the lower 48. :-D But anything like an M70 I can be ship World Wide or a Panny C-300. i shipped a Panny C-300 to Hong Kong and the buyer was very happy with it. :-D

That's fair, but you know, I shipped a Prosonic super pumbo to Australia, and I'm shipping that Conion C126F in my avatar, both through USPS, both fairly cheap and it's no problem... :-P

It only takes one bad exprience, one big $$ loss to really color your prism and skew your perspective, and make you rethink the risks.

:-) You know Stretch I bought many big boomboxes from Canada like a Conion C-100F (Clairetone model) But when I try to ship the same size boombox to Canada the USPS says is too big, So you see some countries are more flexible than others and lets say the limit here is 80 inches accross and the boombox is 79 inches accross I wouldn't ship it cause it would get there destroy cause of no padding. Hope this helps. :-D

I imagine that some sellers still associate international shipping with the word "headache." I am of the thought that if the buyer is willing to pay for the additional cost, I'll ship to the moon if that's what the buyer wants.
no no hes not really from the moon just Canada (oh yes you are right)
