Doesn't it stay on all the time with only the (1) meters lighting when momentary button pressed, and (2) deck lights on when play is pressed?

Or is mine all fubar'ed up? :lol: :blush:

Sanyo's aren't bright enough IMO. Also they don't light up the entire dial unless you add another light.

The Toshiba S90 would be great if the VU meters were the same color as the rest of the lights :annoyed:

The Telefunken Studio 1 would be great if it weren't for the fact that the upper left meter is brighter than the other 2 meters. :annoyed:

My vote goes for the PH492, the WX-1, the Telefunken CR-100, and the Sencor S-5000.

Seems like I'm in favor of green dial lights 'cause I can't decide between the WX-1, the M-X920 and the S90. Anyway, great topic! And more pics please :thumbsup:

Hmm well every one I've seen on Ebay, including the one I bought, has unequal lighting.

Do you have the studio1 or studio1M? I believe there are a different amount of bulbs in each. Or so I've read :hmmm:

Forgot about the Sencor S-5000. :drool: Are all it's meters lit up at once? My Sencor S-4500 has probably the nicest meters I've ever seen in person (red, green, & orange-just like the tuning dial ) but no light. :thumbsdown: :no: :sad:

I have the Studio 1, Bill, but my lights haven't worked in a while. :sad: I know you have the Studio 1, too, and I was wondering if all three meters are supposed to light up? I seem to remember they did and were quite nice. :hmmm:

Yes all meters light up. When I got mine lights were uneven because of bulbs and ground. For some reason the grounding of the bulbs were causing them to light unevenly. So I rewired my ground and replaced bulbs. This is what it looked like before ;-)

I have the same brown one you do, with the bigger volume knob. And yeah it looks like your first photo --- the top meter is ugly bright yellow, not nice & soft like the other 2. That is, until it finally burned out....I will need to replace it.

i know rick has that sweet huge world band boombox with the big ass tuner section and has 4 woofers , 2 on each side and it's a 1 piece box , can't remember the model though.

Cool...if you are talking stock & no mod whatsoever, The WX-1 is the most impressive looking backlit display & the BBB's Studio 1 looks the classiest, I think, so far....
