Cool, I've got the 12" of 'Waiting For A Train'. 
Me too - that's what my tape was made from. I've even got an original 12" pressing of Rockit by Herbie Hancock... but no deck to spin them on right now...

thats a nice one those pannys sound real good i heard one and was amazed i would never think that these eggs would sound that good 
All the cobratops are a bit special, even the smaller ones. Panasonic carried the flag alot longer than most brands, producing quality 1pc boomers well into the 90s. It's just their looks some don't like (not me )

I finally got the M90 unplugged.
Inspired by having to change my login password, I pulled out my GF777. These are stupidly big, aren't they?
I'm playing tapes on it right now, & the decks are no match for the deck on the M90. Not bad, sure, but noticeably not as good as that monster deck on the M90.
My 777 needs plenty of TLC, which could make a difference. Work outstanding includes: belts/idlers (ffwd gives up), left woofer a bit quiet, half the case screws are missing & the back cover could do with a new one. Also a few of the controls like the tape fader are not quite "right". I'm a bit scared of what I'll find when I open it up.
Also, some genius removed the bars across the outer speakers, as you can see.
Ah, well, i did get it cheap.

meh... I got a bit fed up with the GF777. It's an iconic boomer for sure, but (mine at least) just isn't cuttin' it today.
Got a Kaboom out now (RV-NB10) :
...& the same tapes sound much better - rock solid too, no wobbles at all..
I know many complain about the lack of treble from this boomer, esp. on tape, but if you play posh TDKs made on a decent hifi (HX-Pro & Dolby B), set the EQ to "clear", put the ACS on & turn the super woofer down a bit, then all is clear & balanced.
...Ok, so that is stacking the treble odds way in my favour

...I was washing and waxing the car while listening to tunes on my JVC RC-M70, then my buddy comes over with his Conion C100F, so I get the ipod with the fm modulator and the sound from those two boxes at full blast could start a block party!!
