What Boombox Are You Cranking Up Right Now??

oldy what did you think of the origional 300 speakers? i have just seen you're speaker removal thread and i would guess you're new speakers have much better surrounds on them creating a much richer sound.

The originals did not sound bad. But there is always room for improvement. The new cones are denser and have a fabric surround. They do not help nor hurt amplifier performance though as the originals efficiency and resistance had to match to avoid hurting the crossover network. The bass is tighter though and the woofs have longer throws than the originals. :-)I have a black cp7 if you want

well i can paint it black :-D

Finally got my PC online and using my little Altec Lansing 2.1 system.
I've been using my girls macbook for the past few weeks and I'm glad I dont have to use that anymore.
Sure it's not a boombox but it bumps harder than a kaboom, I love it.

I posted this in the Music section:

Altho it's too early here to be "cranking up" anything right about now (it's 9:55 a.m. in Philly right now as I'm writting this), I've been enjoying that album for the past hour
or so - at a nice moderate volume :-D - while playing it via MacBook thru my latest acquisition, the Sony Zilba'p CFS-V8:

Toyota Camry.

I shampood the interior and wiped it down. Washed the whole car including door jams but what really took the time was cleaning the crap off the chrome wheels. Glad I'm done, that was getting a little long for me. :-)

Hi MB-It's good to take care of your stuff-especially automobiles.
I'm feeling not so great as I'm only working PT-makes it so I can't keep restoring my 2 old cars,by fall more will get done though!!
Lots of work in the fall.I have a 66' Caprice and the 81' Camaro I'm restoring.

Toyota Camry-One of the most reliable enduring cars out there I've heard, smart move especially if you have kids.

It's a 97 that I bought in used in 2000, It's got 212,000 miles and hasn't needed anything other than tires, timing belt, battery, brakes and fluids. Every time I think about getting a newer car I start thinking this old camry just makes to much sense to get rid of, it's dead reliable. We'll see, I'm getting really itchy fingers for a newer car.

Good luck on your projects, you have two cool cars that should be a blast.
