Hi, I am only new here, I collect old boomboxes and restore them, both electronically and cosmetically, picked up a Pioneer Disco Robo the other day, one channel is down and the speaker surrounds are shot, so I will keep ya's all posted how I go with it, these use two power amp chips LM4440 bridged at 19 watts per channel, I will contact Speakerworks in Sydney and see if they have replacement foams more so than just replace the drivers, I try to keep the units as original as possible, I have also picked up a few GF Sharps recently too, 2 x GF515's, GF666, AKAI 505, and a big MORSE unit that has a turntable, these all need work of course, mainly belts and some cosmetic parts, Would anyone have any ideas of a source of boombox spares, mainly cosmetic strips and aerials, battery covers,,thanks

Better post it in the technical section. ;-)
Also what parts you are searching for.
Best luck for restoring your boxes.

I'm PUMPING the GF-777z, Victor RC-838 and TRC-935 all hooked up with some CYPRESS HILL - Live At The Filmore

Last night, I was at the recording studio with my band, first night of the recording process. We are recording at CYPRESS HILL's studio and Sen Dog was in laying some tracks when we got there. Below is a pic of me with C.H.

Brought the M90 to the gym today to provide music while I played basketball. On volume 7 this thing is so loud indoors! The guys I play with could not believe the quality sound at high volume and the way the sound filled the entire gymnasium (I was quite surprised as well). Needless to say they want me to bring a boombox everytime we play...music adds that extra energy when playing basketball. The play list included The Fat Boys, Gap Band, Dana Dane, Run DMC, and Curtis Blow.
