hey mono
the moment you get your S90.......

your "same box"
wont be the same box :-) ;-)

Man, you don't know how much I hope you're right about that. :-/ The M90 ruins it for listening to other boxes when it comes to overall sound quality. For instance, I wanted to listen to the Rising 20/20 a few days ago and I think I had it on for all of 4 minutes before I had enough. :-/ Bass heavy tracks are a different story 'cause I'll have listen to my J-1, TRC-931 or even the modified i931. But now that I've found a sweet spot in my room to place my boxes, the M90 sounds pretty damn good on bass and I don't have to listen to those other boxes too much. Ultimately, I guess it's certain boxes for certain music.

I think the Prosonic that I talked real bad about many months ago might have shot up into the top 5 in my collection. No competition for the M90 but still a nice alternative and certainly the best 3-way speaker box I have.

Honestly, I've wanted the S90 more than I've ever wanted the M90. Hope it arrives this week.

its such a pleasure to listen to an m90 --playing sweet tunes at medium volume ,,,, :angelic: :angelic:

so --its often a drag to spend time on the 'lesser' boxes -

its like - without the m90 ---we are missing some music :-) :-)

however --you will miss nothing
when your s90 arrives :-D

imho ;-)

...how right you are. When I finally started getting some heavy hitter boxes, my smaller ones fell by the wayside...But my little M70 still manages to keep up with the big boys...and the surprising little GE 6035...

TODAY, I am cranking THIS GUY. Bought last week from original owner. Rebelted and cleaned it and WoW! I did not expect good sound and thought that the wireless was the selling gimmick but this boombox really is a very good sounding boombox and while it is a bit bass shy, can really crank!

got the Sharp cranking Kenny Loggins Danger Zone. Had a moment when I read another thread here and had to dig out the top gun soundtrack.

Congratulations!

I can't speak about the biggest box they made but it seems Toshiba made their boxes with much lower volume than their competitors. :-/

Luckily, they've got better overall sound than most of those same competitors.
