I honestly can't remember, but the last time I played some Metal on the J-1, it was Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" and a few others from the "We Sold Our Soul For Rock 'N' Roll" album...
Well, you know how loud the 777 is? The J-1 is about that loud, maybe louder! The J-1's a screamer!
Man, I am so tempted to yank the J-1 from the shelf...
I'll do it tomorrow.

That's cool your listening to a vinyl drama. I listen to some books on tape from time to time. That's one thing I LOVE about the Lasonic TRC-920, it sounds so clean on lower volumes when using it to play back books!
