What a great buy HR!
Just curious, what year was that box released? It has a late 70's vibe to it but I'm not sure.

I’m thinking 1979-80 but not sure. I’ve seen old JVC brochures with this model in the range.
I had a mint one a few years back but it went in a box trade to Hugo (Patron, Driptip) so it’s good to have found another nice one.

Just cleaned our shelf in the living room and my 909 had to move (normally sits besides the TV). So it sat on the ground, provided the tunes and nearly cracked the floor - powerrrr

oh and of course - afterwards i gave it a good clean too

Thought I'd give my 8610 a thrashing tonight.

This version with the leds looks great.

Whenever I see the 8600 I'm always like "I wish mine had needles" ha. They actually quite nice. Jump perfectly to the beat.
Love the door sticker on the jvc 👌

Beautiful sunny day and a little work to perform on the old truck's suspension so I brought out my Sony CFS-99 (courtesy of our great member Samovar here) and rocked the work away old school!

A few hours later I hauled it in to the backyard where I "celebrated" my completion with a brew or two....



P.S. jackstands were used, they're just out of sight.

Been rocking my JVC 525 as of late. Perfect boombox to take to the park/beach. Plus when I'm feeling it, I'll spit a few rhymes to some instrumentals! The built in mic is a treat

I'm in the process of fixing the deck. Ordering a capstan motor from pacific stereo as the motor appears to have a dead spot...just like my 550 which I replaced last year.

I wish my macbook pro would let me upload photos here. I always need to go to my work computer if I really want to share any.
