Ken, On those shelves we need a hardboard or else would scrape the bottom of those fine boomboxes and hard to move them around. I also put pipe insulation foam on those vertical poles. It saves the box from scratches. For no good reason I'm listening to Herb Alpert on my GE mono recorder. Actually I wanted to check if the governator motor was still working OK. The Herb Alpert tape (the 'Rise' album with the first two songs missing) was something that came with one of the last boomboxes I'd bought. Pretty good sound from the thing - though I'm not really all that keen on Herb Alpert...
Could be worse. Passed some kids in front of the drug store rockin' out to what looked like a paper towel caddy... poor things...
