Yes, mine also did, but it seems like i did some faults cleaning it up, chrome trims came off along with nicotine & grease which saddens me and FM needs to be aligned, but as long as no schematic plan, then it' ll be like it is.

Yes, it looked more than worse before, i still veel bad about those chrome trims that i scrubbed off accidentally,as it was so greasy and had a coat of nicotine on it, i had to leave it to soapy hot water for a hour and later these just came off with a wipe, i feel kinda bad about it. And after disassembly, FM stopped working for good, i have no idea how it happened, but it receives FM very poorly and after workshop service, it sounds alright, but it´s like tuned off from station, i have no idea why and how, but i guess there isn´t much to do about it. Line In and Cassette both work nice, clear and loud, FM radio is shy as hell, AM is loud and clear. I guess i´ll take it to the service again. Any ideas to revive the chrome trims ? Has anyone done it before here ?

Hello Crazygamer, with reguardes to the silver or chrome trim on cassette door.I recommend silver/aluminum duct work tape.It comes in a big roll and can be found at hardware stores and giant home improvement stores. This tape is basically polished aluminum with a sticky adhesive back. You peel away the back of it exposing the sticky part and gently apply to your boomer cass door. Its best to pre-cut the tape to fit the two areas. Then just gently apply. It should be more than adequate for your needs.Hope this helps you out.😃😃😃

Thanks for help guys, i guess what i´ll do first is i´ll take it to repair shop and ask if there´s something else that can be done to it before buying any decals, i hate that FM radio doesn´t work on this one, i´m kinda perfectionist :w00t: And it happened because of some my unknown tiny fault, i don´t even know what. :bang: Duh. But thanks for help anyways !

Champion!!! Good story,man!
Nice work.
Thanks for kind words !

I actually checked it today. AM, Line In and Cassette sound really loud, but FM radio doesn´t. It was once serviced actually, they replaced some caps as it was really quiet, now it´s loud, but sounds like it´s tuned off from stations. When you tune to station, it sounds loud, but not clear, like some static is in, then you tune it just a little bit off and you hear a quiet, but very clear signal, it´s just like this with every station i listen to. I haven´t touched the components inside, no, i haven´t, but can someone help me with all this ? What should i do so that it starts working again ?

Thanks Blu ! I took this radio to service again, maybe they can do something with this again, something in it begs me to return it to it´s former glory, i´ll get some aluminium tape as decals for it too soon ! :-D Without FM radio this isn´t quite the radio.
