If I may, as a relative Newbie,
Speaking to the 'hoarding' side of this thread, seems he made it his own personal Everest, and probably not to the consternation of others, just because he could.
After the 3rd, 'maybe I can get 10', then 20, then . . . . . . . 100? By golly, I bet I can!
I do however, see animosity rearing it's head if he had outbid someone multiple times on these, but that is happening everywhere nowadays even on non-auction local/private listings.
He is who he is ( seems a very well regarded member and friend here to many here ) and I am glad the original concern of how he is doing has been answered.
So stay positive in your searches, and I can say from my own experiences, it is in those times that I don't sweat it, the item I have been looking for has come my way.
OK, still hoping for the rich leggy supermodel with a good health plan!
