the m90 is great but the jvc pc5 is the real m90 killa

im truly glad to see you back bobby lad .....the thing with the pc5 it is rated at the same power as the m90 but falls short imho....once you change the speakers to 3.2 ohms it blows the m90 away with deeper bass by far.....id love to put some 3.2 ohm speakers in the m90 but im not sure there are any buddy

As with most boomboxes, the speakers are usually the weakest link. Installing newer speakers with good specs will often give new life to these old beasts.

If I were you, Bobby, I would make Freddie drive up and let you hear those speakers that he put in that pc5. I gave him the originals that I replaced. Not sure if he rebuilt them or replaced them.
One thing I am sure of, tho. It sounds better than it did when I owned it!

My PC-5 has Panasonic co-axial 4 inch drivers & what a match they are!! Better bass & more focused mid range along with sweet treble the original JVC full range drivers simply cannot match!! With the exceptional cassette deck & amp, the PC-5 makes you smile every time you plug it in! I love em

The PC-5 and PC-6 are wimps on their 8 D cell batteries though.

The Yamaha PC-8 with 10 D cells will crank harder outdoors.

My PC-8 has 2.8 ohm Hitachi drivers and it cranks!!!
