Here's actually a dj set of mine if someone's into disco and stuff. :)

(EDIT: by the way, that set is just about 45min so it'll fit on the other side of 90min tape :breakdance: )

Sure sounds good on my Philips Super Power Compo Soundmachine (love that name :-D), It's being recorded to tape right now!

- Oh, and nice boxes ;-)

Went out with my 950 today.

I've been cleaning it quite a bit for a couple of days and now it's in quite decent shape. Noticed that the radio also works like a charm and there's nothing wrong about it as I earlier thought. :)

Haven't been able to find any info about it from the internet. Got it from ebay a while ago. Asked about this from *TPR* on S2G, and he told me that these have been sold in German warehouses and this might be from around year 1976. He also told me that this might have been produced by Asahi Fair Mate. I did a bit research, and found this:

Might be almost the same box since there are lots of similarities. :)

Does anyone have any other info on this one?

Oh, and got those Eagle reel to reel cassettes today also. :)

Had a little project last night: PIMP MY BOOMBOX - Crown SZ-71

That's absolutelly worst quality boombox I have ever seen. Plastics break easily, sound ain't too good and the overall feel is really weak. That's why it needed some stickers to hold it in one piece while on the go. ;) Also installed that strap on it last summer.

Yeah, it is solid. :) Just bought some contact cleaner, I'm gonna clean the guts of it because it has some issues with sound.

By the way, I SCORED today. :) Got a really nice Hitachi TRK-8080 for 20 euros! Bought it from the original owner and it's almost in mint condition! Only few scratches. I will post some pictures later.

The tape deck isn't working, but I think I can sort it out. The line in works, but the sound is VERY quiet. Does anyone know why is this and what can be done?

The orange colored "left" and "right" on that Hitachi give it such a cool touch... very interesting touch... Somehow it reminded me of Agfa, don't know why...

Cheers fellas! :)

I thinks that is one of the coolest black boxes from late 70's. And the build quality is also awesome.

I also think that those orange left and right signs do make a huge difference. :) They make it look even more professional.

Mono: couldn't agree more!

The 8080 is the stealth bomber of boxes!

I've been thinking about completing the family for quite awhile now... The 8280 is kinda lonely. :-D
