i had one and it was a great sounding radio. i thought mine was a pc v -3 if i remember right. either way those rectangular things under the woofers are small passive radiators. superb sound quality . not the loudest but it gets the job done.

Wow, what an embarrassment for Marantz. Ugly POS, and why do you need a "function indicator" to tell you that a tape button is pressed down?

Yep, thanks, Reli, before I saw this Actas lot I had already read wikibbx about this model.
Though I am not collecting monos I wouldn't mind having this RT-2800 but only in a full set,
with a parabolic and a radiomike. Otherwise, no.
There are quite of a lot of those on Yahoo, rather cheap, but just boxes.
