Having the list expanded to 20, let me mention JVC PC-6, similar to Victor PC-7 in a way.
Does like it as well.
Forgot to say, both employ superb loudness system.

Are RX-5700, 5400, DT909 rare too? I dont know but am looking for more and more rare birds. :hooray:

RX-5700 isn't that rare I guess. 5400 neither. At least in Japan. Same for the 909.
The silver version of the RS-4360/RX-7700 is pretty rare though. The M70-GX is pretty rare, too. Or the Fisher PH-495. But maybe (color) variants of basically one and the same box are a separate topic.

The Silver Space Master ST-888 is another rare bird and a very interesting machine.

Not that much on Yahoo JP.
But it's getting harder and harder to find one in a good condtition, with a remote.
The top Cobra of the 2d generation for the Japanese market only. Foams don't get rotten like in DT-75/95.
Even has a voice synthesizer. :-)
Excellent sophisticated machine from 90s, one of the last real one-piecers from Matshushita. Swan song.

Thanks for all the additions guys!!
The ones I listed are by the BIG main manufactures.
I love to see the other super rare models by other manufacturers.

My extremely rare one is a 1970' Craig Lay down style 2606 but who knows, they probably made lots of them back then.
But at least mines NIB.

Many rare ones around from around the world!

RS4360 isn't very rare, IMO

The reality is, if something was truly rare, none of you guys would know about it

How many of you have THIS box? It isn't mentioned on either Boomboxery OR Stereo2Go. May I present the Victoria CPR-5000B....Complete with adjustable tape door damping.

I agree with all of these, very rare. I have seen that Aiwa with mico cassette before and the Aiwa CS-X85 on yahoo.jp they are great !

But does anyone here have a Sanyo P6 ? I know there was a guy on s2go who had the fisher 470 a.k.a and seen one or two of those for sale in the US but nothing else !

Sanyo-MR-P6.jpg

A slight notch down in rarity but I have a Toshiba RT-9990SM, and I know only of 4-5 other people who have one. So not top 5, maybe top 20 rarest.

Going back to Top Rare 20 - one of my favourite one-piecers is
Diatone JR-711.

Amazing look and sound, excellent top machine from Mitsubishi.
