This RR415 is really just a multiband radio with cassette. But it has all the ingredients of a mono boombox, so that's what it is! (Sorry, this one isn't spatial. :sadno: )

I Am Legend
do you spatial fans think that spatial =
any different than wide mode or ambience or the other names, etc ?

No.

(Your results may differ.)

True.
Also i think not all PHILIPS Spatial´s are sounding equal.
Because of the different speakers, sizes,qualitys,... ;-)

No.

but, Magnavox invented the moving coil loud speaker, so they can call it's functions anything they want.
Sylvania co. is in there as well as Philco.

Love the Pics any more?

Cheers OSS :afro:

PS.I confess.
I do like to PRETEND that the word spatial means something different.

Those Philips units had some nice designs. :surf:

More I see that big Philips the more I like it, and the Red Roller...does look like a fun box, it's kinda cool I have to admit :-D

So much Philips, so little time (to enjoy everything)! What an amazing collection, VS! I never get tired of looking at it and thinking about it.

When Ira and Miguel did a 3-way trade, it included a "bonus" Rotel store display light. http://www.boomboxery.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=1505&st=0&sk=t&sd=a&hilit=rotel&start=20

I think one of the best ways to "dress up" a collection is to fill the spaces on the shelves between the boomboxes with promotional goodies. I probably have more Philips promotional junk than any other kind: toys, ashtrays, lighters, flags, banners, and - you guessed it - a store display light!

So... since I'm running out of Phil/Mag boomboxes to show (only have a few left), here are some shots of the Philips light...

First, in the daylight:

Then, in the daylight with a slightly more pleasant background:

Finally, in the dark (where it really knocks your eye out!):
