One of my bad seller experiences is very similar. I got a JVC RC-65 jambed into a box no bigger than the JVC itself. And one thin layer of 1/4" bubblewrap... mostly popped. One. The box had a bad crack and I did the same thing... I tried to be civil, He responded..... well read for yourself.
HI Joel-Thanks for your purchase! I will ship item tomorrow or Wednesday... Please leave me a pos feed as soon as you get the item, as Paypal holds the funds now and thae pos feed speeds up the process..Thanks again, please enjoy the JVC Boombox, JOE
Dear bandmaniac,
I received this yesterday. I my opinion it was poorly packed with
just one thin layer of bubblewrap. As a result there was severe
shipping damage and there is a large crack in on side, leading
from the base to the speaker. There are the sounds of small
parts moving about in the case. I am very dissapointed. This is
a model number of boombox that I don't see very often and I
wanted it for my collection. It is now basically worthless to look
at or to listen to. I will take a picture of the damage tonight and
email it to you.

Im sorry you are not happy....The unit WAS packed well ...... If you wanted specific extra packing, you should have mentioned it BEFORE bidding on my auction, and you would have been charged extra accordingly, or I would have told you not to bid at all.. It was in FINE working condition, as well as being an AS IS FINAL SALE auction. If the item truly was mishandled and damaged during shipping, that is NOT MY FAULT! You would need to take it up with FEDEX obviously. Please do not bother sending me any pictures. FEDEX are the ones you will be sending pictures to, not me. You should NOT have bid on my AS IS FINAL SALE BUY IT NOW AUCTION without asking specific questions about the item first. You did not, and in addition you did not pay immediately and I had to email you twice to get you to pay. People need to READ item descriptions BEFORE they bid. JOE
Oh, and I don't care how many times you "emailed me" to "get me to pay". It was paid for on the second business day after the auction ended. That's fast enough... if you wanted it quicker you should have set up the auction for "immediate payment required" Then I would have not bid because I was out of town, only able to bid, but not pay, from my cell phone.
Also when I sent payment I did mention that you should use lots of bubblewrap and a sturdy box. If you were going to require more money to pack it the way it should have been packed you should have notified me at that time you were not going to do it.
You emailed me a number of times over that weekend because you were so interested in getting this shipped out because "PayPal holds the funds until you get positive feedback". Guess how well that is going to turn out for you....
Paypal has just released my funds ,claiming it is entirely between you and FEDEX at this point. Have a nice day! ~JOE
Both ebay and PayPal offered me my money back. Ebay even called me about it last week and gave me an immediate and full refund to my account. PayPal found in my favor right after that. I am closing the PayPal case as ebay told me I could just throw out the radio and I didn't have to send it back that way.
Actually.... I did have a nice day, thank you.
