Hey Don, can you go back and color code your first post? It might be just me, but I had trouble following what was posted by you and what was from that crazy beeotch. :-/

I'm the last person probably in the world to talk about ebay. But the very few things I've sold for example I have photographed in detail when I'm packing them, close-up shots, different angles, etc. And as soon as I ship them to my buyers, I e-mail them all the pictures so they know what is coming. So if I get one of these mentally unstable members they'll think 3 times before trying something on me... hope it helps...?

When I buy something from a "suspicious" non-boombox person, I'd probably let them know that I'll be video taping (with date and time in the video display) the unwrapping of their product sent?

Maybe that'll scare them off?

Btw, what a BITCH!

She is correct. There ARE people in this world that is very adept at working the system and very familiar with the tactics that are effective in getting things done their way. And SHE leads the pack!

She clearly gets what she wants in this world by practicing intimidation, and when things didn't go her way, she immediately resorted to intimidation tactics. People with less "balls" might've caved and ran away with their tails between their legs. She must've had some success at it or she wouldn't be doing it. Glad you stood your ground and by your principles. Sorry that you had to pay (return shipping) to teach her a lesson but hey, life's not always perfect and fair. Anyone thinking otherwise has been reading too many fairy tales.

I have had similar experiences on ebay... there are some really psycho sellers out there. They are so busy trying to screw people over the second they get called into question they go off like this. It really does make you want to get on a plane and punch them right in the puss.... :choco:

Yep the immediate intimidation tactics tipped me off right away, she's no newby to this. :nonono:
She played the wrong person this time, as she kept sending her intimidation emails I quietly followed the rules and won. Once she started her intimidation tactics I never once replied to her which probably boiled her over even more, it was all one sided. I didn't care since all I wanted was my money back (minus return shipping) and that's what I focused on.

This is the risk we take when dealing on eBay and I can really relate to the rest of you now who have had dealings like this.

The really sad part is we probably have lost another Bolt Box as a result.

UPS won't be getting this one, it's back in the biotches hands and there's no way she's getting UPS to pay off a claim without defrauding them. UPS will deny her claim the moment they look at it, the box is the same size as the boomer and has ZERO padding.

Maybe it is time to start video taping the box showing up sealed and then showing it being opened! I mean, they could still try to say you faked it, but at this point in the game, if your dealing with a fool like this, they will say anything.

I hate dealing with people like that. I really try to be civil.

Then if that doesn't work, I try to be apologetic, then if that doesn't work it's "OUT SIDE BITCH, I'M GONNA F*CK YOU UP!" :annoyed:

At first I wanted to ask her "Do you believe the crap that's coming out of your mouth" then I wanted to punch her right in the mouth.

She gave me the biggest heart stopping moment I've had from all my boombox purchases the day it arrived. I vividly recall walking up to the house and seeing this 6 inch wide box sitting on the porch, my stomach instantly turned and my heart felt like it thudded on the ground. I couldn't believe what I was looking at, it was like I was in complete denial as in "There's no way that's the boombox, it must be something else". I could have repeated every curse word in every language 10 times over at that moment. :evilmad: :catfight:

One of my bad seller experiences is very similar. I got a JVC RC-65 jambed into a box no bigger than the JVC itself. And one thin layer of 1/4" bubblewrap... mostly popped. One. The box had a bad crack and I did the same thing... I tried to be civil, He responded..... well read for yourself.

HI Joel-Thanks for your purchase! I will ship item tomorrow or Wednesday... Please leave me a pos feed as soon as you get the item, as Paypal holds the funds now and thae pos feed speeds up the process..Thanks again, please enjoy the JVC Boombox, JOE

Dear bandmaniac,

I received this yesterday. I my opinion it was poorly packed with
just one thin layer of bubblewrap. As a result there was severe
shipping damage and there is a large crack in on side, leading
from the base to the speaker. There are the sounds of small
parts moving about in the case. I am very dissapointed. This is
a model number of boombox that I don't see very often and I
wanted it for my collection. It is now basically worthless to look
at or to listen to. I will take a picture of the damage tonight and
email it to you.

Im sorry you are not happy....The unit WAS packed well ...... If you wanted specific extra packing, you should have mentioned it BEFORE bidding on my auction, and you would have been charged extra accordingly, or I would have told you not to bid at all.. It was in FINE working condition, as well as being an AS IS FINAL SALE auction. If the item truly was mishandled and damaged during shipping, that is NOT MY FAULT! You would need to take it up with FEDEX obviously. Please do not bother sending me any pictures. FEDEX are the ones you will be sending pictures to, not me. You should NOT have bid on my AS IS FINAL SALE BUY IT NOW AUCTION without asking specific questions about the item first. You did not, and in addition you did not pay immediately and I had to email you twice to get you to pay. People need to READ item descriptions BEFORE they bid. JOE

Oh, and I don't care how many times you "emailed me" to "get me to pay". It was paid for on the second business day after the auction ended. That's fast enough... if you wanted it quicker you should have set up the auction for "immediate payment required" Then I would have not bid because I was out of town, only able to bid, but not pay, from my cell phone.

Also when I sent payment I did mention that you should use lots of bubblewrap and a sturdy box. If you were going to require more money to pack it the way it should have been packed you should have notified me at that time you were not going to do it.

You emailed me a number of times over that weekend because you were so interested in getting this shipped out because "PayPal holds the funds until you get positive feedback". Guess how well that is going to turn out for you....

Paypal has just released my funds ,claiming it is entirely between you and FEDEX at this point. Have a nice day! ~JOE

Both ebay and PayPal offered me my money back. Ebay even called me about it last week and gave me an immediate and full refund to my account. PayPal found in my favor right after that. I am closing the PayPal case as ebay told me I could just throw out the radio and I didn't have to send it back that way.

Actually.... I did have a nice day, thank you.
