I love these stories!

Holly, I know that feeling well, from start to finish. I know what it means to get your childhood blaster in your hands for the first time and have the FLOOD of memories rush over you! In my life, there have been only a few things that have ever even come close to the feeling of getting my teenage blaster back.

Seeing those pictures and your smile is what it is all about and I have said the same thing, buying from Boomboxery members is just GREAT!

And the question remains....why are there not more female members :hmmm:

Your lucky to have a husband that supports you in your boombox love affair! Just never let him have a bigger radio than you!

THANKS, LASONIC!

Well, as competitive as I can be at times, if my husband has to "have" the M90 just to get it in the house, I'm TOTALLY in! ;-) :surf:

CONGRATULATIONS, Holly!

Loved reading the story of how you finally got back an M70 after all these years, and those pics were great; you both are perfectly posed with that box! Your enthusiasm and happiness over this box just beams out of my computer screen! And you're lucky that your husband shares your passion. My wife tolerates mine, but doesn't really appreciate them. :sadno:

It's always a thrill to re-acquire something you remember from your youth, especially when it is something as nice as an M70! Again, congratulations, and good luck in your search for the M90. If you love the sound of the M70, you'll REALLY love the M90! [Find one and give it to your husband as a surprise birthday, Christmas, etc... present... you both win!]

Well, the only thing I can think of to get her to want an M90 is to put some music she LOVES in your M70 then crank it. I don't think I'm the typical girl, for sure, but I definitely have a knack for getting my girlfriends hooked on non-girl traditional things... HE HE! Maybe if I take photos of the boombox in girlish situations... HA HA!

Oh yeah, if someone were to put one of those SUPER SWEET paint jobs like the ones mellymelsr did, but in hot pink! THAT would get some attention from the girl brigade! Many of my girlfriends really liked the discolite, of course. I'm looking into learning some electronics skills so I can build a color/light organ, which was inspired by that colorful candy box.

There are quite a few of us men that are lucky to have women in our lives that understand what we are doing! My wife makes jokes, but when she has come home in the past and I have the Jacuzzi tub filled with hot water, candles going and some soft music on the TRC-920 in the bathroom....those jokes fade away real fast! :smooch:

Yep, she soak's in there for 45 minutes to an hour, just enough time to pa ruse eBay and make a quick purchase before she knows what I'm doing    :w00t:

I know that the girls in the neighbourhood definitely prefer the look of my custom M90 to any others I've carried around (the one in my avatar).

The world needs more PINK boomboxes!!

Rock On.
