That is shiatty dude. I've never seen that box before. I didn't know Lasonic made a rounded top in the 80's, I thought it was just recently.

At least it looks like an easy fix. Still sucks though. :-/
It's a neat Lasonic model for a collection  but did any boards break with the speaker bouncing around in the box :hmmm:

This is the ever elisive CD boombox Lasonic put out that looked like the old school 935/975 series boxes but had the CD player on top.

Like I said in my first post, this box is SOOOOOOO DEEEEEP that I don't have a screwdriver LONG enough to reach all the way down to the screws!!!!! :-O :dunce:  :-/ .

I have to stop and buy one tomorrow and get inside this thing. As of right now, there is A LOT more rattling around inside than just the speaker  :'-( .

I know one cassette door is broke at the hinges and just hanging there..... boooooo. And the decals look to be melted and pulling off the boombox case  . This needs a MAJOR overhaul. I'll just add it to the list of "fixer uppers" that I have going here :dunce:

Luckily I have my graffiti i931 to distract me from the busted CDX 931

I'm sure it is like steve austin it can be rebuilt

I'm sure the stickers/decals can be copied - the speaker can be put back on or fixed back in some way - the tape door can be cut and shut to be fixed

have hope and take it slowly - it wil live again

can we see a side shot and where the cd goes please

good luck and hope all works out  ;-)

Oh man I felt a pain in my gut just looking at that, these boxes are very hard to find. :'-(
I hope it's nothing more than a few parts broken loose that you can glue back up.

Sorry to hear about the damage, but after you fix it, that box has gotta have a nice kick to it - with the the 6.5" woofers and the deep-ass cabinet!

That's what I am hoping for!!!!

One thing I noticed that SUCKS is no line-in so I hope the mic jack works well for MP3 if I need it.

I didn't try to power it up because of the damage, so I might get lucky. We will see.

PS, the speakers in the CDX 931 are not as big as the other 900 series boomboxes :hmmm:

No line-in? I guess Lasonic figured it didn't need one because it has a CD player built in. :hmmm: Still, they should've had, at least, phono input jacks.

The woofers look about the same size as TRC-920 woofers. Are they smaller than that?

I'll have to look again - I think you are right, they could be the same size as the 920 speakers..... :hmmm:

No line in, phono in, or anything.

Hope you can get her all rockin' Joe!

A cheap FM transmitter is always a good option when theres no line in.
