I grew up in the hood and therefore am not afraid to enter into one...but I would never be dumb enough to enter without protection. I had my Glock 9mm fully loaded and in my front pocket...

The thing about the hood is, if they sense fear they might pounce, but if you walk with your head up and look them in the eye with no fear attached, generally all is good...but in case of an emergency be prepared to bust a cap....because my survival is first and foremost. In all seriousness I got a few stares and several people hovering around my vehicle but I was in and out so fast they did not know what hit em. You are right about one thing Spud, you never know what you may be walking into, I would hate to have to use my gun to protect myself, but I would not hesitate to save my own life.
