I'm with ya there. Still remember my first VW bug a 1966 that I bought back in highschool late '80's.... Took it down to the stereo king to have a radio installed. Well, they dremelled out the dash to install it (the stock grundig was much smaller). When I looked at what they had done I almost started to cry. Yea it was a clean install and I'm not sure what I was thinking just didn't realize it needed to be cut in I guess.restocat said:Not the minority I am sure. I think I am just over reacting due to the old cars i have worked on.
I have seen "improvements" such as:
-flipping the back leaf springs over so it rides like a rodrod.
-cutting holes in the dash to install a cool 8 track player.
-ripping up an expensive interior to install a cheap china made sunroof, which later fell down on the occupant.
Back to topic, it is important that we keep the boombox hobby alive and interesting. and your m90 definately does that.
