That's what it's about. It's about having fun and making it Your own. Good for You and, Rock On!
For real! That's what it's about for me man. Making it my own & rising to the challenge of making my M90 as KICK-@$$ as possible & still run on batteries, AC or 12v DC jack. Heck, if the D-Cells were up to it, I'd install a cigarette lighter too. I was looking into somehow rigging up some low power computing too for file storage etc. Kind of like a built in smartphone, but without the phone part of it. Maybe a tablet....I'm bonkers like that.

You should see my home computers too...

Still really blue!! Them grilles. What colour are they as stock? Dark grey?

Scotty
flat black....Me personally, I like the blue. it offsets the monolithic grey & pops off the chrome rings nicely. Under low light, they look glossy black with a deep blue under-tone. and the woofers are painted to match.

That's what customization is all about, making it your own with your personal style. I definitely like the VU lights. Good job!... :-D

Some more progress on the cosmetic tune-up. New paint on the front woofer areas, around the tweeters & tuner glass, sides & top. Bottom is in great shape & doesn't need paint. Back cabinet section looks good too so I like the 2 tone of the front/back cabinet sections. New antennae & Philips Tweeters were a nice upgrade & the new paint color matches almost dead-on. The base color & shift are so close, I lucked out LARGE!! Some LEDs were put in so far but not done. This is still a work in progress. When the final resto is complete, I'll post a thread about the Project.

Here's the PICS!!!

Thanx guys, =)

That's the anchor screw for the new RGB controller. That's all it is.

Cheers,
Cpl
But you could have mounted without a screw. You could have glued a small bracket inside to hold the screw assembly.

En...I wanted to be safe, considering the fact that this is 'THE' grail for most enthusiasts. It would be a shame if somehow it was dislodged from its position & damaged something irreplaceable. So I opted for the ugly screw with more security, down the road.

I do understand your point tho. Your suggestion would have been a more attractive alternative for sure.

Cheers,
Cpl
