M70 & M90 with hardwired bluetooth module mod.

I bought a project M70 that is dirty, had a broken side panel, one missing antenna tip, and a pin missing from the power plug.

This was purchased solely for this BT mod to install and test. I'm trying to just get it back to stock finish but with the Bluetooth installed internally.

I got one of the BT modules with the wire whips already soldered on and sealed up for $34 shipped. I will be cutting the RCA ends off the wires and solder them to the input pads on the PCB. The 12V +/- I will try to find a switched 12V circuit to hook the BT module to so it isn't on all the time when it isn't needed.

This is the ebay auction for the BT module:

Here is the M70, got it today in untested, AS-IS condition so hopefully it isn't totally dead or this thread will be totally dead too. HA!

The goal is to show how anyone can add this feature to a M70 since almost all of us have one or want one.

Neat-o. I'll be watching as well. Might try something on my little panny 5031, since it's not super fancy I won't be worried about it. Good luck Joe, I know it'll work.

Omg. That's kinda funny. Sorry to laugh about it. Can you use the crap lasonic that has the blue tooth and USB hook up. I grabbed one for 70 bucks and the volume control is jacked up and I really can't stand the crap. I thought of taking it apart

It was kind of funny, but irritating. I have to return this BT module and then the company will send me another one.

There goes a week to wait now...... Damn it.

The customer support is quick to respond and sent me a return label already.

The BT unit has no button to sync. As soon as it has 12v power it is suppose to be sending its BT signal for my phone or ipod to connect to.

I'm very happy with the dirty M70, took a gamble on that one.

Dam that sucks about the blutooth, what a bummer. Isn't it funny how some of the dirtiest, filthiest boomboxes sound so good sometimes? Congrats on the M70 at least!

New BT module is shipped as of today and on its way to me.

Cool, maybe later this week I will be able to dive into it while the kids are sleeping.

Very excited.
