Lasonic TRC-975 Clean up

Well I Got alot of cleaning done on the exterior today.
Decks have been cleaned.
Most of the paint specs have been removed.
Back cover and Battery compartment has been detailed.
All Chrome detailed.
Clean and lube all controls and sliders for EQ.
Things left to do is
Paint the top of the radio.
Replace Antenna.
Clean inside.
Possible Led Mod.
Replace missing knob.
Fix Tuning knob mounting base.
Fix one tab on the battery compartment.

Soaked all the knobs in water with dish soap.
Then used a toothbrush to get all the grime off.
I used automotive cleaner wax on the cassette doors to get any dirt off those and made them look new again.
As for the antenna , on the website they are 20.00 shipped each.
how much are you saving on the shipping????
I might be getting a battery cover as well If I cant fix the broken tab on mine well enough.

I have the i-931 and the TRC-975!!!!
I could firmly say I now have one too many Lasonics.
Dont get me wrong they are beautiful looking and all, but not really the quality level I look for in a boombox.

...I definitely agree on the quality issue. That is why I am scared to death to ever take my 931 outside...it is the only radio in my collection that I feel that way about. But they are so nice to look at and has such good bass I would have a hard time parting with it.
