Depends where you use them. 3-pieces and eggs might sound great indoors, but they suck outdoors because they don't produce enough mids, and also because they're not vented in the back, so if you walk behind them you can't hear them anymore.
you're probably right Reli, sadly i don't go out doors any more though. i would still rather listen to good sound quality over an m70 any day though my friend

there are still many boxes better than an n70 though, my new crown 970 for much less than the average m70 prices just saying and my other 970 was less too

sometimes the bitching and complaining is the most interesting thing going on lol.
you used to be the best bitcher on here, god bless lad:beer2: maybe i was pissed off that i actually bought 2 m70's, i mean why did i buy them, donkeys years ago many members told me they were nothing to wright home about, also there are dozens of boomboxes i wouldn't touch with a barge pole, at least to this day i haven't bought them lol

these boomboxes are relatively cheap compared to the price of some of the other miseries in life. the way the f****** world is going in 10 years might have to burn them all anyway just stay warm.

I am still fascinated by these boomboxes and value them so much!
I jump back and forth between boomboxes, receivers and speakers. Now I am enjoying high end Marantz receivers like 2330B, 2385 and so on. Completely recapped an AKAI GX 635D and professionally got serviced it by a Greek electronics wizard buddy of mine.
Prices of these boomboxes won't surprise me when I see car auctions!
It all depends on the interests of the buyer!

this is the perfect example of why an m90 cost ridiculous money because every time there's one for cheap somebody tries to steal it for a few hundred dollars more it's just a case of upping the ante so only the privileged can afford it.

it's also disrespectful to the first person to respond to the ad who wanted to get the Boombox for cheap. if they said it's already sold don't offer more money because it's the same thing as saying f*** the first guy.

In a world where people understand how to use the internet enough to post an item for sale, there is no reason why a seller shouldn't or can't do a quick google search to put an honest value asking price. I'm not complaining about a good deal, but damn it blows my mind you can still 'almost' snag a M90 for $60 today on the internet.

My best deal was on craigslist in 2014. As mint as they come too.

I dont really think it's that silly anymore. What with the Russians determined to inflate after buying things for much less within the last 5-10 years. Some of us have been collecting for 20+ years, it's not really any surprise the cost of an m90 anymore.

I don't think so, she told me at 9:30 last night that the highest offer was 950. At that point I lost interest. Not gonna pay that much for a box with a missing button that would be extremely hard to find. People don't part out M90's, they just sell them as is, and someone else buys them to fix or mod with custom paint or something.
